Overview
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is a three dimensional international engineering language. It is the worldwide-accepted engineering language for communicating product definition. To ensure the final product meets the original engineering blueprint specifications, everyone who makes or reads engineering drawings should be using geometric tolerancing methods to communicate.
Using GeoTol will save your company money by reducing interpretation errors, increasing manufacturing tolerance and promoting efficiency and quality throughout the engineering, manufacturing and quality process. The current American National Standards on the subject are Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.5 – 2009 and Mathematical Definitions of Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.5.1M -1994 (R2004). In international standards, ISO 1101 defines the fundamental principles.
